Update: PennDOT Extends Waiver For CDL License Hazardous Material Endorsement
PennDOT issued a waiver to extend the expiring commercial driver’s license (CDL) hazardous material endorsements set to expire between March 6, 2020 and May 31, 2020 in extended until June 30, 2020.
The expiration date of an HME for an individual who is a Pennsylvania-licensed commercial driver’s license holder and who held a valid, unexpired HME with a determination of no security threat on or after March 6, 2020, is extended until June 30, 2020.
The action is important to petroleum marketers and heating fuel dealers because it ensures CDL drivers with expiring HMEs can maintain their licensure without interruption during the coronavirus outbreak.
