Senator Yaw Proposes Creation Of Independent Energy Office

Senator Gene Yaw (R-Lycoming), this past week proposed the creation of an Independent Energy Office (IEO) in the Commonwealth. Under Yaw’s proposal, the IEO would serve as an energy policy neutral agency that would be tasked with gathering information and data regarding all energy utilized in the state. Yaw would foresee the IEO as being a resource in helping decision makers in developing state Energy Plan(s) going forward. The Senator is the Chair of the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee.
