Security at Petroleum & Propane Storage Facilities

PPA has been communication with government officials regarding reports about a suspicious event that occurred last week at a propane facility in Maryland where two unknown individuals were seen taking pictures of storage tanks and rail cars with long lens cameras.  Federal, state, and local authorities were quickly notified.

Government officials suggest that in light of that and the recent domestic attacks and geopolitical issues and out of an abundance of caution, this a good time to remind energy marketers to stay vigilant and to adhere to their security plans and protocols.
