Webinar: Fighting for Our Future – Debunking the “Electrify Everything” Movement

Presented by: Rich Carrione, Warm Thoughts CommunicationsOverview: Most states across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic have pursued electrification policy in one form or another. Pennsylvania has previously committed to quadrupling electric heat pump installations by 2030 and is a part of a multi-state memorandum of understanding to electrifying the medium- and heavy-duty vehicles by 2050. We anticipate policies in favor of electrification to be introduced during the 2025-2026 legislative session with a divided government.

In order to protect the interests of the transportation and heating sectors, and to ensure a bright future that allows for an “all-of-the-above” approach to energy, PPA is marshalling its resources and expertise. The intent of this PPA funded campaign (Energy Choice PA) is to leverage our statewide membership network in sharing important information to the millions of consumers who rely on liquid fuels, and encouraging them to take action in support of their energy choice. Success will only happen with significant engagement and support from our members.

Compared to the energy policies in other Northeast states, Pennsylvania is in a much better position. It will take everything we can muster to make sure we stay there.
