PPA Partnering With FMCSA For May Webinar Series


The PPA is excited to again announce a partnership with the Pennsylvania Division of FMCSA/USDOT to offer a three-part webinar series in May.  It will include a weekly one hour webinar beginning on May 4.

This free educational opportunity is specifically catered towards energy marketers who haul hazardous materials.

The scheduled includes these webinars all starting at 9:00 a.m.–

— May 4: Preparing for the 2022 New Entry-Level Driver Training Regulations: This session is designed as a basic overview of the upcoming Entry Level Driver Training Program (ELDT) regulations and requirements.  FMCSA’s ELDT Program sets the minimum standards for training requirements for individuals applying for a Class A or B CDL for the first time; upgrading from an existing Class B to a Class A CDL; or applying for a hazardous material (H), passenger (P), or school bus (S) endorsement for the first time. In addition, the Training Provider Registry (TPR) will be discussed.   Click Here to register.

— May 11: FMCSA & PA State Police – Data Q Process and Driver Qualification Files: This will be a joint session reviewing the Data Q process and Driver Qualification files. The Pennsylvania State Police will review the Data Q process. This will include best practices as well as common errors made. Additionally, FMCSA will review Driver Qualification files to ensure drivers are fully qualified. This will focus on requirements of maintaining a file on each driver and the contents of the file as required by the FMCSR’s.  Click Here to register.

— May 18: HAZMAT Refresher and HM Tanks: An overview of HAZMAT regulations, with an emphasis on petroleum products will be covered. This will focus on FMCSA HAZMAT regulations and include a generalized overview of 49CFR Part 172. A review of HAZMAT regulations related to tanks and inspections will be included. A question and answer period will also be included as part of this 60-minute training period.  Click Here to register.
