PPA Partnering With FMCSA For Two August Webinars


The PPA is excited to host a two-part webinar series with the Pennsylvania Division of FMCSA/USDOT in August. This free educational opportunity is specifically focused towards energy marketers who haul hazardous materials.

Please note these sessions will not be recorded due to FMCSA’s request. The only way to participate will be to attend the live webinar–

— August 16: New Requirements for CDL Entry-Level Drivers, 9:00 a.m.

The new Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) rule went into effect on February 7, 2022.

These training requirements impact individuals who wish to obtain any of the following:

— Applying for a Class A or B CDL for the first time;

— Upgrading from an existing Class B to a Class A CDL; or

— Applying for a hazardous material (H), passenger (P), or school bus (S) endorsement for the first time.

Before taking the CDL test, drivers will have to successfully complete a specific program of theory and behind-the-wheel instruction provided by a school or other entity who has self-certified and is listed on FMCSA’s Training Provider Registry (TPR).

— August 30: Compliance Review Investigations & Hazardous Materials Requirements, 9:00 a.m.
