Media Coverage Highlights PPATEC’s Efforts To Bring Veterans Into Our Industry

PPATEC (Pennsylvania Petroleum Association Technical Education Center) offered its first 10-Week HVAC & Energy Professional Program in July 2022. This program was the result of a multi-year effort that included a building expansion, Pennsylvania Department of Education certification, and Veteran Affairs approval.

The PPA pursued this workforce development initiative in direct response to the challenges that our membership faces with hiring, training, and retaining new employees.

The inaugural program graduates included two military veterans who were able to utilize GI Bill benefits to cover the costs of tuition.

More information about our recent graduates can be found here.

On November 11, 2022, PPATEC received the following media coverage to acknowledge what the Association is doing to provide a pathway for more Veterans to enter into our industry.
