Countywide Petroleum’s Nila Manning Appointed To USTIB
Nila Manning from Countywide Petroleum (Pittsburgh, PA) was recently appointed by Governor Wolf to serve on the Underground Storage Tank Indemnification Board (USTIB).
The board oversees the Underground Storage Tank Indemnification Fund (USTIF), which collects funds from tank owners to reimburse eligible participants for reasonable and necessary expenses incurred from releases into the environment.
Ms. Manning was recommended by the PPA to serve on the USTIB earlier this year.
The Pennsylvania Petroleum Association is appointed one seat on the Underground Storage Tank Indemnification Board which is comprised of other industry trade groups and government officials.
This seat was previously held by Bruce Sheller (Sheller Oil Company, West Chester, PA) who served as the Chair of the USTIB for over 20 years. Bruce recently retired from this business which also prompted the need for PPA replacement on the USTIB.
The PPA would like to thank Bruce for his decades of service to the PPA, USTIB, and the industry. We wish him the best in retirement.
