Congress Extends Federal Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Deadline Until August 8

Last week, Congress approved and President Trump signed a bill to extend the $660 billion federal Paycheck Protection Program through August 8 to help businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The application period was to have expired on June 30 with about $130 billion in PPP funds left over.
The bill does not make any broader changes to the Paycheck Protection Program.
