Congress Expected To Vote On Final COVID Relief Package Today
Congress is expected to give final approval to a $900 billion COVID relief bill today that includes an extension of extra unemployment benefits, a new round of PPP loans for businesses impacted by COVID, money for schools, health care providers and renters facing eviction. Read more here.
The bill does not contain a liability shield for business, but does include $27 billion for state highways and struggling transit agencies as well as $22 billion for health-related expenses of state governments, help for colleges and schools to cover COVID-related expenses and child care assistance.
